On one email list, a correspondent quotes an article by Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez titled, “All European Life Died In Auschwitz..” As the name of the Spanish newspaper is not given and I could not find it through my own research, I cannot guarantee authenticity of the paper or the author. Here is an excerpt which may be sufficient for us:
“I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz . We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”
The rest of the article enumerates all the achievements of the Jews in fields of science and culture. What interests me is that the article mentions talent of the Jews in every branch but – not in politics.
1) The Jews were not enough united and organized when they missed the opportunity to smash Nazism into dust at its very beginnings. They were flourishing in activity when Nazism was small and weak.
2) When Nazism took power and started to realize the Final Solution, the Jews didn’t show ability for self defence, but passively followed Nazi orders to gather the Jews and organize them according to Nazi plans. We may never know the complete truth. Read my article, “How Many Jews Did Hitler Kill?” Which appeared in Vagabond's September 1995 issue.
3) There was a short period when the peace process between Jews and Arabs initiated by Israel’s brightest diplomat, Yitzhak Rabin, was flourishing while Arab terrorism was weak. Then Rabin was killed by "Jewish Taliban" which destroyed the peace negotiations and Arab terrorism began to bloom. Now, Israeli power depends, in great part, on a friendly ally, far away. We know how fragile, unsure, are those kinds of alliances. We know that the U.S. decided to stop support of Iraq because “America has had enough” as one TV commentator said. Who knows when America will “have enough” of supporting Israel and Israel will face alone Arab might, supported by millions from the Muslim world.
4) The Jews turned their back on the Serbs by showing up for mass demonstrations against them in NY. Read my article, “Golem" (Serbs and Jews) in the May 1998 issue of Vagabond. The Serbs were the least anti-Semitic ethnie in Europe and risked their lives helping Jews, died with the Jews, during the Nazi occupation. As we see in the article “Golem”, the Jews practically initiated the anti -- Serb world reaction. Now the campaign of insults and accusation is everywhere and the small Serb community, especially in their diaspora, is submitted to hostility of the population and in schools, from students to teachers. Many hide their Serbian origin. Sound familiar? I consider that the Serbs became the Jews of the 21st century. One friend less and the advantage for the Jews equals zero in this situation. This sums up Jewish failings in politics and diplomacy.Back to the index of the Vagabond
